At the next ECCOMAS conference, I will be delivering a keynote talk as part of the minisymposium on Isogeometric Methods! The minisymposium is part of the theme Advance Discretization Methods and is organized by Ale Reali, Yuri Bazilevs, Dave Benson, Rene de Borst, Tom Hughes, Trond Kvamsdal, Giancarlo Sangalli and Clements Verhoosel. I will talk about spline-based discretizations of the de Rham complex and their applications, hope to see you there.
I’m a part of the summer school on IGA that is being organized at the Lake Como School of Advanced Studies by Giancarlo Sangalli, Carlotta Giannelli and Monica Montardini. I will be lecturing alongside Carlotta Giannelli, Tom Hughes, Monica Montardini, Ale Reali, Giancarlo Sangalli and Hendrik Speleers – very excited!
Wolf Nederpel has successfully defended his master’s project: “A mimetic dual-field discretization with exact conservation properties for the
incompressible Navier-Stokes equations with periodic or Dirichlet boundary
conditions.” Congratulations, Wolf!
Ferhat Sindy has successfully defended his master’s project: “Immersed Isogeometric Methods.” Congratulations, Ferhat, and best wishes for your PhD at EPFL!
Chao, Tan, Tom, Alvaro, Gleb and Peter have successfully completed their CSE minor project: “Error estimation for finite element analysis” with me and Alexander Heinlein. Congratulations!
